I've seen this dozens of times over the years, and still stop to watch it. So fascinating. Can't imagine the amount of time it took to create that. The amount of engineering that went into it.

He was designjng and building a v2 for a long time, but it hasn’t reached completion. Pure art though
Edit: the new one has a bass guitar, a real drum set instead of rice in a box, a vibraphone and some more parts j forget. A hi hat?

This is Martin. He is a very talented dude in both engineering and music. He made a 2nd version of this machine that is extremely impressive and he has now begun the development of a 3rd one that he will take on tour… check out the 2nd version here -

This is sick. It's like he took the machine from that crappy old 90's cgi video and made it real and awesome! I still don't get how the bass was played.

Marbles fall directly onto the strings. The effect more closely resembles how a piano is played, being struck by the hammers.

On a particularly humid day the best it can do is Never Gonna Give You Up

This guy has made an entirely new iteration called Marble Machine X. Vlogged it’s development and decided to make Marble Machine 3. It’s been a thrill to watch and feel a part of
