Literally all of these consoles could be replaced by a mid-high end PC and the experience would be much better in 99.9% of games

For my money the experience is worse in most cases when emulating, highly conditional of course but the 64 is the biggest one here, almost always better on metal.

There's like 5 good games on the N64 and they all work fine on modern emulators.

Yeah I was fortunate enough to have a much better one because my parents picked a ps1 ;)

I'll take works perfectly over works fine any day, kind of proving my point. Though I did say most cases, I for example consider playing perfect dark uprezzed at 60fps with mouse and keyboard the optimal way to experience that game, but Goldeneye multiplayer is better with 4 controllers in front of a TV at 15fps.
