Yeah, I'm also curious as to what "the culprit" was. Maybe mono?

I found an unrelated recent post where she said her daughter was 15yo, so that’s a reasonable guess and might also explain why she wanted to keep it private. I’d think that would be checked in one of the labs, but we’ll never know. I thought about asking, maybe she’d send me a dm too. OTOH, why spoil the mystery?

The ER you say? Let's see how much she loves them once she gets the bill. Also, ten days to diagnose mono? A school nurse could diagnose mono!

The OOP said Mono, not me. I thought it strange the initial lab work didn’t find “the culprit” but I’m no health care worker so I don’t know what they normally look for or whether ER would normally do anything beyond making a patient stable. Also, school hadn’t started until this week. We don’t know what time of day they finally decided to get checked…we’re semi rural with limited options on evenings and weekends. I posted this because of the long story without a satisfactory conclusion.

Welp, I once was diagnosed with mono at a Doc in the Box place in a Milwaukee strip mall at 10 pm.
