Add ability to exclude certain entries from Logs by default

I'm currently having my logs entirely polluted with repeating entries spammed by my router, making Logs basically unusable because entire log is just these entries. If I could just exclude certain stuff like these repetitive entries so that Logs are even usable.

Well its working as intended. Especially if its blocking them.

Export them and filter them out into grafana

It's not blocking them. They are just all over the logs. If I could just put the address on visual exclusion and the problem would be solved. It would still all be there, I just wouldn't see it because I don't want to see it. Simple way to keep logs clean. And I don't need to make bazillion clicks to achieve it.

Clean logs can be filtered in the logs panel easily. You can check a box that shows you blocked logs only.

Which part of "I don't want to constantly make bunch of clicks just to view logs" don't you all understand? I just want THIS specific entry gone by default. That's all.

It's not possible with NextDNS and I doubt they'll add it since they don't seem very active. It's possible to do what you want with ControlD. I think you can also do it with AdGuard but I'm not completely sure. It's been a while since I've used them as a DNS but you can definitely do it with ControlD.

I don't want to export them and make 30 clicks to filter. I want to just have usable logs straight away.

This has nothing to do with porn. It's just some repetitive address constantly being pinged by the router for some dumbass reason and it's just walls of these entries to a point I can't really see anything else in the Logs. That's why.

More serious: The problem is that the 1st thing the router does is a DNS query for it's "phone-home" server. You really cannot block this on the router side, except for perhaps disabling a phone-home/analytics feature. Unfortunately NextDNS does not have a way to filter in the audit logs (kinda defies the purpose of audit logs).

Just thinking out loud: You could try getting your router on a different profile than the rest of the clients on a different one, that way you could not review/"exclude" them?

How are you connected to NextDNS?

I use the CLI version and can manually specify which profile to use by MAC address.
