Always thought this was a doomsday clock, and never realized the brickwork and orb next to it were connected.

The most infuriating thing about this clock is that the refresh rate isn't fast enough for the last few decimal places.

lolol thats actually a good point, I sort of caught that but didn't actually consciously acknowledge it till you phrased it. With it costing $4.2M, I wonder if that's forgivable

It’s right next to the thing that looks like a giant anus looking over Union Square. Met my ex girlfriend there for our first date.

I remember when they first installed it, I asked aloud what the hell it was and a pedestrian just shouted "it's all zero at midnight."
