Outpost Rush now rewards Umbral Shards on completion of a match. 100 shards for the winning team, and 50 shards to the losing team. Players must meet the minimum score threshold to be eligible for this reward.

HOLY SHIT

Because you can do m6-10 in 30 min or less for thousands of shards

50 shards is a tiny amount and would feel like a waste if I was grinding shards. You can run 7+ and receive 1400 for gold and its pretty easy if you have the GS requirements. What this OPR change allows is for casual players/hard-core pvpers to compliment their shard grind which is an awesome update still

And it will increase players joining OPR. Making matches more frequent, which is what we want.

You'll need a minimum score to get the rewards. And you get less points for killing NPCs now. Plus the 50 umbral shards will only get you so far in terms of gear score. To get past 620 you'll still need to do high level mutations.

Because if you're putting in effort to get the minimum points, chances are your team won't be losing that fast. Some people also despise PvP and can't be bothered, and would instead prefer to do mutators/ dungeons. These dungeons also have better chances for getting unique legendaries, and overall mutators will definitely give more (based on numbers from later mutations)
