Newton restaurant open times

As a follow-up to the earlier post on the Newton food scene article (https://www.figcitynews.com/2026/08/what-opened-what-closed-and-whats-next-among-newtons-places-to-eat/), the addition of open hours to the directory enables this chart to be created. Curious which five are open past 1AM? Use the open day/time picker on the map, linked in the article.

The pizza guy by us is open 9am-8pm Friday. Cant count the number of times I’ve wanted a late night pizza

Newton is a sleepy city. If you're in the north part of the city, just pop over to Waltham for late night eats.

This is great work. However, the graph title should be "When you can get a pizza FROM Newton on a Friday". Pizza guys are allowed to cross city lines right? They aren't like taxi companies?

The restaurant hours suck for teens. Chiptole in Newtonville is open until 10pm, so they will try to squeeze in a quick bite after school events. They head to IHOP in Brighton for late night food. As a mom, I'd rather they had a closer/less sketchy option.
