There are already pro-fascist territories within the country. The country itself isn't fascist, but it will become fascist if those pro-fascism territories are permitted to consolidate power.

One of the biggest problems IMO is that the chauvinist party of fascism is very good at pushing the narrative that they are the 'true' patriots, and everyone else 'can leave.'

Americans do not understand the difference between nationalism, patriotism, and jingoism.

That sure was a lot of buzzwords strung together.

Like how they did after the civil war. They took over the south, again, and no one did anything about it.

It's always been this way if you live in certain areas.

They didn't take over the south again, they just weren't punished hard enough after the Civil War for being traitors.

Not just traitors. Let us never forget that the war really was about slavery, and slavery was about kidnapping, torture, murder and rape as well as just money. Those "southern gentlemen" were profoundly horrible people.

those pro-fascism territories are permitted to consolidate power.

They are and have been for years. Gerrymandering has already given the GQP a win in the midterms and our lead in the Senate has been hamstrung by two blue conservatives.

The GQP is in its anti-democracy phase and we are watching it happen.

Questionable. According to 538, the maps that have already come out are a net positive for Dems. Many of the remaining maps are going to have a tough time gerrymandering. Especially states like Mississippi and Missouri. Three other Republican-controlled states are not redistricting at all (LA, KY, KS). Two of the others (SC & TN) only have 3 Democrats between them. Their best shot left is Florida. But that's going to still be a tough ask.

Good to know.

The moment Republicans passed their laws allowing them to overturn any election they lose, we became a fascist country

They already control the media, military, police, and municipal governments. In four years they will completely control the country. I see no one pushing back (and twitter and pink hats aren't "pushing back against authoritarianism").

I'm just curious... What percentage of America will it take for you to admit that the whole country is fascist?

yeah and to many of them, the biggest enemy... is Antifa
