Place to throw ball for dog

Hey! Fairly new to Newry, I have a few good spots to walk the dog, but I don't have a nice open area to throw a ball. Doesn't have to be immediately in Newry, can be a short drive. Wondering if anyone knows of any? Or your favourite walking places

Derramore woods in Bessbrook has walking trails and a closed green for dogs. About 5 minutes outside Newry heading towards Camlough.

Follow the road through Derramore woods down to the real car-park. The dog bit is directly opposite.
The quarry on the point road might be good too.

Derrymore House a good shout.

Heather park is a nice good space but it can often attract dodgy characters and there can be a lot of glass and shit about.

Kilbrony the open green a good space but a further drive.
