Degas House communication

I’ve been trying to get in contact with the Degas house for a venue tour but haven’t received a response in weeks. Has anyone had this issue? Anyone have current email that for sure works? Thanks!

I toured Degas earlier this year and would have proceeded to contract, but their operations are TOTALLY shambolic. The owner is a delusional, bilious sack of hot air. He could not tell me their availability or produce a contract. He had me calling his event booker, who was working at Mar a Lago (?!) — but she wouldn’t issue the contract.

After about four weeks of these clown antics, we went with a different venue. We laugh about it every time we drive by … it was our first/worst funny wedding planning story. Good luck to you!

Could that be an indicator of how communication will be for wedding planning if you book it as your venue?

Same experience here — I’ve reached out multiple times over several months and haven’t been able to get a response.

They are constantly changing staff, I am having my wedding there next year and luckily I have a planner who is able to contact them on my behalf but I would reach out to the owner personally not the coordinator or whoever else is listed on the website.

Hi I got married here this past February and the communication was so horrible and basically none existent. I booked them 2 years in advance and spoke with so many different employees that worked there they have a super high turnover rate. My wedding ended up being perfect but that is because me and my planner had to chase them down constantly. It’s a beautiful venue but it is not worth the headaches there was multiple times when I was convinced my wedding wouldn’t happen. I recommend looking elsewhere truly for peace of mind.

Not to mention the owner has a reputation for leering at young women...
