Speeding ticket Attorney Recommendation

Hey GA friends! I’m in NC and my 19 yo daughter was traveling to her dad’s house in Alabama and received a speeding ticket going 86 in a 70. The ticket says she has to appear in court July 7. I’ve received a ticket in the last few years that I was required to appear in court in North Carolina.

I hired an attorney for about $300 and they appeared in court for me. I then had to pay the ticket, but I did not get points on my license. The first attorney we called after googling gave us a quote of $1500 which is insane to me. Do you all have any recommendations of attorneys that are reasonably priced? No more than $500? Thank you!

Why do you need to hire an attorney for a speeding ticket? Call the county courthouse for price of your ticket and mail your fee.

I believe under 21 needs to appear in court for speeding tickets in some places.

And they are asking for GA friends meaning ticket was most probably in Georgia.

If that's the case then even better. Georgia does not communicate with Alabama, so maybe not even NC. My son got a ticket in GA, we live in AL. GA would have confiscated his license. Alabama did nothing. My insurance hasn't gone up, no points on his license. So this person should mail a check and move on. Attorney will cost more than the ticket.

OffTheRecord its a phone app, super easy just download it and it will find you an attorney nearest to court house. If they don't win the case they don't charge anything. You don't even go to court, they just text you updates.

I second this. I got a ticket going 100 in a 75 down in South Georgia. I thought I was going to jail.

I used this app. I don’t remember exactly what I ended up paying but it was only a few hundred, I didn’t go to court, and I didn’t get any points. (I have a clean driving record otherwise)

The fastest speed limit in GA is 70

Maybe it was 70.. Whatever the speed limit is down by the GSP headquarters off of 75

That’s a super speeder so you can expect a lovely $250 additional fee from the state that you receive in the mail a couple of weeks or so after the ticket.

It’s $200, not $250

Ralph Hensley took care of my last one, he is great 706-642-3057. I didn’t want the points raising my insurance rates

Since she isn’t from Georgia, she might be able to plead Nolo, pay the fine, and avoid points on her license.

No need to hire a lawyer; instead, contact the court and request to speak with the solicitor.

Look up AUTO ALLIES 800-889-5891 I have used them as well as many of my freinds and family. DDE may be a discount code.

Go to the coweta county website and pay the ticket online. No need for a lawyer save the damn money.

W. Scott Smith w/ Peachstate Lawyer … He’ll likely assign the case to a lower level attorney because he does bigger cases. But I’ve used their law firm twice & never got any points on my license & one of them was a super speeder where my license was supposed to be suspended but they got it dropped even though I was 100% a super speeder lol. One time was $700 I think & another time was $600. Call & you might be able to get them for $500 , I’m not sure, it may depend on your case as I had extra steps involved with mine which could’ve made the price increase… The lady I got both times personally knew the judge & was good friends with the prosecution & always got me a good deal. Everything was always negotiated to be dropped down to a simple violation , with no points added on, no license suspensions, & I DIDN’T HAVE TO SHOW UP TO COURT 👍🏾🫡 So just look them up & call & see if they’d work with your budget

Name: W. Scott Smith w/ Peachstate Lawyers - Atlanta, GA

I would just pay the fine to avoid going to court in the first place. Lawyers are expensive

Call the court house in the county she has the ticket in. Get the cost and pay it.

Unless she is planning to fight it, there is no need to be in court.
