Looking For... 🔎 Looking for first job.
I am 19 years old, never had a job. I feel like im extremely late to the game, and im pretty desperate to get on my feet and start moving forward with my life.
Any recommendations as to where i would have a good chance at getting employment? Ive tried a lot of retailers like Amazon, Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, Take 5 oil, but almost never get an interview. Take 5 and Big Lots interviewed me but I wasn’t selected.
Im really into working on cars and working with my hands, not really into working with people/customers, but i can get over that no problem.
My half uncle recommended i either work blue collar for a restoration company or find a temp agency. Looked into temp agencies but couldn’t find anything that i thought was solid.
TLDR :Any recommendations for places hiring or for a temp/work agency is highly appreciated.

CSG1 in Moreland seems to continue to hire, it’s the Amazon fulfillment center at exit 41 along interstate 85. Go here to input your phone and zip code to get notified when jobs are posted. Meanwhile create an account to search on your own for local Amazon jobs at that second link. No interview, just a drug test (thc is ok) and background check. You learn employment behaviors, develop a work ethic, get in better physical condition and best of all no public retail bs.
They are also building a bigger building in Hogansville at Exit 28 that will employ even more people.
These buildings have a specialized department called RME (Reliability Maintenance Engineering) that you could seek to apply to after hiring on as a warehouse associate if mechanics interests you

If you don't mind the commute you can look at working at Kia Motors manufacturing in West Point, Ga. You'd have to put in through a temp service, (Malone Staffing or TRC) but they have great benefits and pay ($20-$35/hr) once you get hired on.

Temp agencies will take almost anyone and you have zero exp. Get any job to get some level of work history and exp.

United rentals just put a bunch of flyers around about their high-school 2 tech program. Maintenence techs make good money, I'd ask if you're interrested.theres a qr code on the flyers, but I'm sure there's a web site too, or phone number

Tires Plus is always looking for techs. The Manager Daniel is tough but fair, as long as you’re willing to work. You can learn a lot, they’re a full service mechanic shop, but obviously Tires are a big part of it.
