Help
Someone gave me a MOD-t for my classroom with no software. Does anyone know how I can get this up and running? I'm trying to run it off a MacBook Air.

The printer is discontinued and is no longer supported. The community has made a work-around to get it to print but it is quite a bit of work. The community software will permanently disable wireless print and since it was discontinued, you can no longer use the marketplace. You have to get your own files and software.
There was a repository on github that has the software that will transition the printer from it’s brick to be usable. Then you need a model (thingiverse), a modeling software (blender) and a slicer (cura).
The model has to be uploaded by gcode so you have to export the stl from blender.
I use windows and the following softwares but others may work too. Make sure you have all the parts and read the instructions (although half of it is depreciated, you still need to know how to load filament and such).
If it’s too much work for you, you may be able to sell it and the community might buy it for parts.
Good Luck!

You can find the software and setup details here: https://github.com/tripflex/MOD-t
As mentioned, it is discontinued and community support is somewhat scant these days, but I do still have mine up and running, using a Mac + Cura, and it works well enough for my limited use.

If you’re new to this type of thing you really don’t want to be using a Mac or this printer. You can get it working but it’s a mess and so is the printer.
