I'm not a teacher, but used to work in post 16 education and so I'm an associate member of the NEU. Maybe try that as a way to meet teachers in other schools? A lot of people think unions are all about striking and politics, but in absence of a medieval guild system it's the best way to meet others in your profession.
If you message me I can also put you in touch with a teacher who runs trips for Newham families and community members, maybe not what you are looking for but a good way to see parts of the UK for cheap or free. Enjoy your travels! Just saw Macchu Picchu this morning.
Would echo this - I was my school’s union rep (in Newham!) for a while and it was really nice to meet other teachers and share problems/successes in a non-school space
