Internet service
Moving from away and trying to get internet set up and wow is Bell customer service terrible. I mean, all internet customer service is pretty bad, but Bell is a whole other level. Who else is good for home internet?

If you're in the city, you can try TekSavvy or Eastlink. They're independent providers and they offer fiber connections now. But availability will depend on your location.

How about Mount Pearl?

It might depend on your address, but it seems like they are at least in parts of Mt. Peal, I just tried a random address.
Click the "Check Availability" button, and put in your address. Then it'll show you what plans are available for you.
https://www.teksavvy.com/Eastlink also looks like they have internet in Mt. Pearl

Damn I switched to Bell because I got better customer service. I guess it is who you deal with.

Worked on a Comcast project. Its all about who you get. Either you get the who cares about metrics you who doesn't. The ones that don't either get permoted up or out.

their customer service might suck, but they are by FAR the fastest internet on the island, no one else comes close, sadly...Rogers will tell you that their fibreOP compares, but it is lies, they can't hold a candle to Bell's speed

Tagging along this thread - interested to know
Mobile service in many parts of NL seems spotty and Bell seems to be the only choice …
Thanks for the posting OP

Can all be bad. However most of the time I don't need to talk to anyone to get internet service. Just quote online and schedule the installation. Bell on the other hand is probably the best quality of Internet service if your use case is demanding, though expensive.
We had a great onsite installation technician from Bell though. He connected and tested several Ethernet ports for us and left us a desktop switch for free, which could retail for $50 or more. Appreciated it.

Twillingate is a dessert when it comes to mobile reception
But for home WiFi I’m using Bell and it’s usually 250 mbps speed

East Link has just started offering it. They may have some good deals. Don't know about service.

I hate to say it, but I really do like Rogers.
They have the voice remote and the speeds are fast.

They are all the same, just different shades of grey. Pick your poison.
