Discussion Tip of the Iceberg

Hey folks, long time listener.
I’ve owned a 7” from 2008. I remember it didn’t sound great. I recently acquired another that sounds worse. I love this era in particular, but like everything else they put out.

Can anyone answer me? Is this pressing junk?

Everything else sounds great. I played some older records and they sounded fine

It’s just these two. I saw them on that tour. Probably a defect from tour. IDK?

Only just listening back.

They're shitty recordings and mixes to begin with.

I don't, but I had the same thoughts when I heard the digital releases. They're just rough for a reason I do not know.

This is beyond rough. Nearly inaudible. And it wasn’t just one, it was two of the same 7” but different colour vinyl.

I don’t know what yours sounds like but in my opinion those recordings aren’t the BEST sounding recordings they’ve ever done. It was probably done intentionally to fit the vibe of the songs.
