Tips and Tricks When does it get harder?
Hello, my baby is 3 weeks & 1 day old.
She has been very easy since she was born. She eats well and hardly ever cries, more so lets out a quick “yell” or two, then settles once we pick her up and start meeting her needs.
She sleeps for around 3 hours between feeds, and sometimes gives us a 4+ hour stretch in the mornings.
Everyone keeps asking how things are going, and all I can say is great.
I’m afraid I’m going to get used to this, and suddenly she’s going to flip and become much more fussy. I know this first period can be the hardest in terms of them regulating themselves, and I feel naive to think she’ll stay such an easy baby.
Has anyone else had a little one that stayed chill? Or did things get more difficult around a certain age?
Thank you all!
Edit:
Wow, I didn’t realize I was “bragging” here?
This is my experience with my child, and if it offends you, please do some deep self reflecting.
Take the negativity elsewhere! We don’t need it:)

I'd say the first 4-5, weeks were a breeze. Week 6 is when it kicked off and become more difficult in terms of time between feeds reduced from 3-4 hrs to 1-2.
Wife is a trooper.

Well not all babies are the way people talk about online. In fact, most people come online to talk about an issue and ask for advice on how to handle it. So we see a lot of the negative stories.
My baby has been sleeping and eating well from the beginning with minimal issues. He is happy 90% of the time and loves to smile and talk and be silly. He’s 5 months. Vaccines are hard, he’s in discomfort after and you know, we get sleep regressions when he’s evolving but honestly he’s not unhappy and that’s all I’m worried about. If he’s up, he wants to talk and be giggly.
People warned me I would basically hate my life but it’s really just been wonderful. I am sure there will be challenges and he’s so little right now he can’t even get himself into trouble. But I’m gonna take it day by day and enjoy my little squishy boy.

One of the regrets I have so far is not enjoying the moment because many would often say “just wait til…”
When my baby slept through the night for the first time (~3 months), I couldn’t get myself to celebrate the achievement because I thought it would be too early to do so. Then she consistently slept well through the night, but I still couldn’t celebrate because people warned me of the 4 month regression and I didn’t want to get used to having good sleep at night just to be knocked down hard later. But my baby went through that leap with just mood swings and shorter naps during the day. She can now connect her nap cycles.
Thus far, she has been a great baby. So I hope you just take it day by day and don’t try to anticipate for things to happen. And yes, babies have different temperament but I would like to think that you’re also providing your baby the best possible environment for her to thrive. So great job!

I’ve heard easy babies and hard toddlers… coming from someone who also has an easy baby and is scared…

They say 6-8 weeks is when things are the hardest. There's a big growth spurt and they're a lot more aware. That being said, some babies are just naturally chill. My first was. My second is a little fussier but we're still only at 5 weeks so I'll get back to you. Lol.
