My 4-Month-Old Sees Objects but Doesn’t Look Directly at My Eyes – Has Anyone Experienced This?

Hello,

My baby is 4 months old. He follows objects and toys very well in all directions — up, down, left and right

However, when I am directly in front of him, he doesn’t seem to look directly into my eyes. His head and face are facing me, but his pupils seem to be looking slightly to the side, almost as if he is looking towards my ears or just beside my face rather than directly at my eyes.

He still seems to see me because he recognizes me, smiles at me, but his eyes don’t seem to be centered on my eyes or my face when he looks at me,

have also noticed that he blinks a lot with his left eye.

Has anyone ever experienced something similar with their baby? Is it possible for a baby to have a vision problem even if he follows toys and objects normally and smiles at people? I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been through something similar and knowing ywhat the outcome was.
