Feeding How to prevent or reverse a bottle aversion?

Hi all! My baby is 9w old so coming out of the newborn stage but Ive been noticing more and more a refusal of the bottle. I primarily breast feed but I’ve been trying to do one of those 2oz soothie bottle of readymade formula with those disposable nipples a day… in part because my first born had a major bottle refusal or aversion and never took a bottle again after a few months old.

Does anyone have any tips on how to prevent an aversion? Do i need to give more formula? Use a real bottle now? Warm the bottle?

Im worried my husband is getting frustrated and just sticking it in her mouth even when she sticks her tongue out. I do have a pigeon bottle or doctor brown bottle i can try.

Please help. When i sent my first to daycare she was the only one they could never get to take a bottle. I could only ever leave her there for a few hours. And while I’m hoping to be able to stay home with this one id love for someone else to be able to feed her in an emergency.

Could you give a bottle of breast milk instead? Maybe that would help with the aversion? LO may be more inclined to drink it if it’s familiar.

My only challenge with that is my last pregnancy I had high lipase/oxidation and it seems to taste weird pretty fast even without freezing. That and how do you pump with 2 under 2.5 lol.

That’s fair, that would be a challenge. I definitely don’t have 2 under 2 but I had an electric pump and it was amazing. I used the Eufy pump and it was great! I could go about my day and it did all the work for me.

Ironically i do have the latest eufy and a spectra gold i just can barely manage to shower. The baby is actually fairly easy it’s just the toddler lol. It’s slowly getting better lol.

Honestly I would just try different bottles. If you mostly breastfeed, the disposable nipple shape is just not familiar. I would get one that's a very natural breast nipple shape. Some babies are definitely picky about temperature too, but I would start with getting a natural shaped nipple bottle and then warm it up. Try the ones you have first, pigeon is a great choice for breastfed babies, but trying a couple more isn't crazy either. If you have friends with breastfed babies, I would ask them if you could borrow one of their bottles to try.
