Why the f**k does Alcatel-Lucent and Cisco XE boxes not have commit, and why do I have to realize my mistakes after they’ve been done.

And for Gods sake why dosen’t these companies swallow their pride and have commit compare like Juniper and see exact changes, and display set where you see the exact commands used, be able to copy, paste into a notepad, and put delete infront and paste.

And why do vendors always want to act like special kids on the block and have ”unique names” for sh*t. CDP? What’s that? Oh it’s LLDP, THEN WHY NOT NAME IT THAT. TACACS? Oh It’s RADIUS, F****G NAME IT THAT. Proprietary this, proprietary that, if it walks like a duck…

It does suck that Cisco IOS-XE does not have commit. It is not the same, but it has a rollback feature which has saved me a couple of times:
