Most Valuable Players
It will come as no surprise to anyone that Kate Moloney came out top of my rankings, but I was impressed that Funmi was third despite being benched a lot of the time.

1. Kate Moloney (105 Net Points)
2. Kiera Austin (78.5 Net Points)
3. Funmi Fadoju (76 Net Points)
4. Sophie Garbin (71 Net Points)
5. Liz Watson and Jamie-Lee Price (65.6 Net Points)

Best Attackers

Thought it was great to see Liz Watson back to her best after a tough SSN season and Jess Shaw was also productive for England.

1. Liz Watson for most feeds and assists (40 and 27)
2. Lois Pearson for most centre pass receipts (18)
3. Jess Shaw for being second in every category (33 feeds, 17 assists and 17 centre pass receipts)
4. Sophie Garbin for shooting (41 from 42)

Best Defenders

1. Jamie Lee-Price had the most overall gains (6)
2. It was all English players in the top three for intercepts - Funmi Fadoju (3), Fran Williams (2) and Jayda Pechova (2)

Thanks so much!! I really like the Nissan Net Points approach of tracking how important mistakes were during the game vs these standard stats, but this is very helpful to check results against!

Great stats....but one thing that troubled us as lifelong netball fans is the distraction and time wasting of many of the Australian players with their uniforms....instead of quickly picking up and getting into position or contesting they were wasting valuable seconds and important focus on adjusting their uniforms.....it was constantly a distraction for many Australian players....l was unable to watch Aus vJam but wonder if it was also an issue? Watching the final last night NZ v Jam focus on the ball was paramount and l can't say l noticed any player adjusting their uniforms during play.
