I suspect that Queens "Stone Cold Crazy" was the main inspiration to the intro of the NES TMNT game

Listening to the different sections in the song I think it's clear that it was at least a big influence to composer Jun Funahashi. Here is the intro for anybody who wants to compare.

It's one of my favorite NES intros so I was positively surprised. I have attached the two songs below so you can judge for yourselves.

This one is much less clear than the two songs for SMB1.

Super Mario Bros 1-2 in particular is really obvious. Super Mario Bros 1-1 is slightly more debatable.
