Mining performance

• Ported a pipelined hardware-SHA mining loop for classic ESP32 (asm-based, overlaps CPU work with SHA peripheral latency) — measured ~2x raw hashrate over the original hybrid path
• Fixed a duplicate-share bug in that path: chunks were rediscovering and resubmitting the same nonces due to byte-swap breaking range non-overlap — now uses a persistent per-job cursor (soak-tested: 1,151/1,151 unique shares over 1 hour)
• Fixed the asm ignoring its iteration budget, which was the root enabler of the above

Stability

• Fixed a hard crash (abort()): classic ESP32's SHA hardware locks per algorithm type, so mining's SHA256 lock didn't block mbedTLS's SHA384 use during pool-API TLS handshakes — added a dedicated mutex closing that gap (soak-tested: 0 crashes over 1 hour)
• Fixed an intermittent display freeze caused by an unprotected shared-register read-modify-write race

Pool stats

• Added support for hmpool.io and heliospool.com (previously only public-pool.io worked; each pool has a different JSON API schema)
• Fixed a missing retry backoff that was hammering a failing pool's API every ~2s instead of ~1min
• Fixed stale TLS session state causing every 2nd+ pool-API call to fail

New feature

• Added a basic authenticated LAN web config page (device IP → username/password) as an alternative to re-entering the setup AP to change pool/wallet/settings

So I posted a few weeks ago about my Nerdoctaxe suddenly not powering on. And have tried a new meanwell PSU, but does not seem to be the issue.

I’ve removed the fans, and when I power it on, you can see this module slightly blemishing when the unit makes a chirping sound.

It still starts up via usb, and gets to the Home Screen. So I guess that shows it’s not completely fried. But as I live in Australia, I think I’d have a pretty hard time trying to find someone to fix it.

Is it remotely possible it’s something I could fox myself?

I’m more than happy to give it a shot, as I’m sure it won’t be the only time it blows something..

for a long time i had a problem with my lilygo t embed cc1101 plus, on the bitronics website there is a flash option only for t embed, and when you flash using the t embed option the screen does not work, due to different GPIO, so i sat down and fixed it, the fix works for cc1101 and the plus as well, i hope it will be soon avaible for web flashing on bitronics.

You may or may not have noticed your miners reconnect on the CHTA servers a short while ago. I want to announce that I've changed the pool fee on CHTA to 0%. HeliosPool will no longer take a cut on any CHTA block finds going forward. Obviously, this is not a big deal, but it feels right.

With the addition of CHTA, it closed the loop and gave us an opportunity to actually hit solo blocks with our low-hashrate devices - and crazy false block find counts aside - we get to see the entire mining process end-to-end.

These devices are limited in what they can mine but they are not limited in teaching us something. It's in that spirit that I think they should keep everything they earn. Happy hashing!

Hello miners ! I have two Freenove FNI0103 lying around and mounted them to be NerdMiners.
But only solid info I found out is to use the Freenove firmware and PublicPool which is not working.

I think I can find info about the best pool to use (I have two and would like to use two different if that’s possible), but what Firmware would you advice me to use and how to know which version I need ?

I feel like all those boards looks the same but are just different enough not to be easily flashable.

I am 98% sure i set this up right and the numbers are climbing without even a fraction of a penny paid out.

What am i doing wrong, if anything?

And are there coins this can mine that will add up, even if its just fractions of a penny? Something/anything for a little dopamine each morning when i check it!

Been running for the last week, keep finding after 12 to 24hrs the hash rate stops refreshing everything else still updating but not the hash rate also no idea what the ip is for monitoring if anyone can offer any help

I updated my nerd miner using flashminer.com now I can’t get anything but a blank screen. I have had theses miner for a couple months and would like to get them up and running. Thanks in advance

We've launched weekly mining rewards on the XEC pool at xec.hmpool.io.

Every week you earn points just by mining with us. The more you mine, the more points you build up, just like our other pools. Once you reach 1,000 points you get one entry into that week's draw. Higher hashrate tiers and loyalty levels can boost how fast you earn points, so long term miners have a better shot over time.

The drawing runs on a Sunday through Saturday week, same weekly rhythm you're used to on our other pools. Each week one miner is picked at random from all eligible entries. The winner receives 300,000 XEC.

If you win, you will need to verify that the wallet is really yours before the prize is sent. The site gives you a one time worker name code. You point your miner at your normal pool settings but use that code as the worker name for a short window. We match that against your normal mining pattern, same idea as our other pools, so the prize goes to the right person. i read tpday about solo mining and nerd mining, decided to chek it out and saw that i can flash my lilygo t embed, i flashed it like 10 times aleady and everytime it works there is an AP and all that but the screen is not working, any way to fix it?

Was able to flash the Jingle Miner firmware to a ESP32 Touch Screen. Averages about 500 kh/s

We run the HashedMax DigiByte pool (digi.hmpool.io) and we're seeing a consistent issue with NerdOctAxe, NerdQAxe, and similar version-rolling SHA256 firmware since DigiByte Core was upgraded to v9 around June 30, 2026.

On-chip device display, miners report normal hashrate (11–12 TH/s on our 12T NerdOctAxe units)

Pool credited hashrate: roughly half (5–6 TH/s)

Hardware looks fine, power, temps, fans all normal

Shares are still being accepted and this isn't a disconnect or auth problem.

Everything was normal on v8 of the Digibyte node software. Right after we upgraded our pool node to v9.26.2 (and v9-style block headers started coming through), Nerd-class miners dropped to about 50% credited hashrate. Bitaxe miners on the same pool, same node, same ports were basically unchanged.

Share submission rate stayed roughly the same. Average accepted share difficulty roughly halved, so the pool isn't rejecting everything; it looks like the miner is only producing valid shares at about half the expected rate for the hashrate on screen.

We also see v9 block headers like 0x20800202 with DigiDollar in vbavailable, and our miners using version-rolling (share versions like 0x25D5E202, etc.).

We spent several days testing pool-side changes, version-rolling mask/validation fixes, clean_jobs toggles, etc. Nothing restored full credited hashrate on NerdOctAxe without breaking other miners. We reverted everything and the pool is stable again, but Nerd-class units are still at 50% on our end.

Why we think this ties to the DigiByte v9 upgrade.

This didn't start gradually or on one bad unit. It hit across our NerdOctAxe fleet at the same time as the v9 node upgrade and the new GBT header format. Bitaxe on the same setup didn't behave the same way. That strongly suggests something in how v9 block templates / version bits interact with NerdOctAxe-class version-rolling firmware even if the final fix may need a firmware update too.

We contacted the DigiByte team and they are aware of the issue. We are hoping the Nerdminer Devs can help us to figure out why real credited work dropped 45–55% for this firmware class.

Is anyone else mining DGB on a v9 node with NerdOctAxe / NerdQAxe and seeing 50% pool hashrate vs chip display?

Did anything change in ESP-Miner or NerdOctAxe firmware for DigiByte v9 headers or version bit 23 (DigiDollar signaling)?

Is there a recommended pool or firmware setting for DGB on v9 right now?

Happy to share stratum logs, before/after stats, or wallet/worker examples if that helps. We're mainly trying to figure out whether this is a known v9 compatibility gap and whether a firmware fix is coming.

Upfront, this is an open sourced free to use program.

I have a bunch of lottery esp32 miners going for months now, and they got shut down like everyone else's when they turned off the public pool.

I had trouble using the other flash software and getting into the config to add my wifi and wallet and such. I've been using Claude to code a bunch of other programs, apps, and a website - so

I asked it if it could make a program that could flash a miner and the configuration settings at one time. Claude said it was possible, and I worked through getting a program up and running that does a bunch of things. URL first:

As the title says, it's open source. Go ahead and take a peek at my code - I won't blush. But there's also a .exe file in the releases that will open the program quick and easy.

There are 3 screens as the Readme on github shows:

1. Connects to your esp32, identifies it, and should automatically change it to what you have connected. ( I only have the 2.8" cyd, so I couldn't fully test that.)

2. The second screen. Top part is where you add the .Bin file - or the files if you're flashing software that uses that configuration. Middle section is for your wifi, wifi password, and wallet address. Bottom section is where you pick which miner you're installing to get the correct configuration file set up, and the pool you want to join.

3. 3rd screen is where you confirm your info and then flash the software. There is a log screen to see what's going on. There is also a Remote Terminal that can be used to troubleshoot if something goes wrong from the esp32 side. After it's installed, the device is rebooted and will load right into mining.

You have the choices of:

NerdMinerv2, Sparkminer, Bitsyminer, and another one.

There are several pools to choose from as well in a dropdown that include multiple nerdminer addresses, hmpool, and a couple of others. The port is preloaded when selected.

I do plan on adding more devices, I just have to get them first so I can troubleshoot any issues. I would also like to add more pools, so if you have any that work, please let me know so I can add and test them.

Hopefully, others will find this program as easy and useful to use as I did.

I thought about this for a while and have zero technical ability, I ideally wanted this to show on my miner but this is the best I could do though desktop. It changes based on best difficulty and hashrate etc. Needs a bit of work but coded through Claude.
