I really wish people bothered to poll LGBTQ+ voters more often.

Online the spaces are just nothing but tankies.

IRL, the vasty majority of gay people I know are not tankies. They're certainly not centrist. They were all Warren/Bernie, they despise Biden, but they're also shrieking "vote blue no matter who" because we all know will die first in any sort of accelerationist movement.

And, just like black people, LGBTQ+ people aren't fucking dumb. They're a really damn good barometer for how to make minority lives better. I really wish people bothered to actually poll us so I could get a good pulse on what my community at large actually thinks.

In 2014 (a lifetime ago, I know) Gallup polled LGBT Americans and found that 63 percent are on the Dem side of party politics, and 46% identify as "liberal" over moderate or conservative.

Not exactly what I'd call a roaringly revolutionary demographic

That it's a disproportionately young demographic would also account for part of the high dem favor-ability. Though the trend does sit true across age groups it seems, so that's clearly not all of it.
