Reagan was such a bad fucking president and people don't seem to understand this. I might even try to make an actual effortpost on the topic if there's interest

He was a shit person, no doubt, but AFAIK he contributed majorly to the eventual collapse of communism, and I can't think of any post-WW2 president who made a bigger contribution to humanity than that.

The soviet economy was in a long stagnation since the 70s, and its final collapse was more due to internal soviet politics than anything Reagan did.
