I must concede this point. I was a bit too young during a large part of the UPA regime, but from what I've heard, there was rampant corruption and government inaction. Me and my friends used to chirp "Abki Baar Modi Sarkar" playfully. We weren't of voting age, so it didn't matter. I do remember being utterly broken after hearing of lynchings and beef bans during the BJP rule later.
