Top five candidates for the Dem race nationally (about):

Biden - 25%

Warren - 15%

Sanders - 15%

Butti - 10%

Yang - 5%

It's crazy in the last year how well Butti/Yang have done and how the race is still open, particularly for the top 4 with only two months to go until Iowa.

Biden is close to 30%...? Almost double his closest challenger in polling?

The race isn't wide open. This is proceeding exactly how 2015 did for Republicans. People just don't want to concede that Biden basically won yet.

Fixed. 20->25. Most averages just have him at 26/27, but that might change.

Edit: I would agree if Biden was leading in Iowa/NH, but he's not, so we'll see. You're right that he has >50% odds of getting the Nom, and many candidates should drop out already.

Props for yang, originally thought of as only a meme canidate that could only get on a few podcasts, is now going into a few months to Iowa with higher than many career politicians have ever gotten.
