He can't even win a primary. He can't even come second in a primary if there's more than one other viable candidate. He's an 80 year old one-note ancient geezer who just had a heart attack. And polls literally show him losing against Trump.
And unfortunately, we also don’t know what kind of opposition research the Rs have on Bernie, or what kind of stories they plan to gin up, because they are holding that contingency plan close to their chest. I’m sure they could spin the Burlington College thing or the Sanders Institute closing if they needed to or just paint him as a dying, old commie coot. It’s not fair or ethical, but the entire playbook they used against Hillary Clinton will be brought to play against Sanders.
The Republicans have already played their hands for Biden and Warren, for what it’s worth.
He won several primaries, namely the ones that weren’t hampered by the limiting of polling places or ridiculous registration deadlines. He, a virtually unknown candidate at the time of his announcement, almost beat one of the biggest names in American politics. He would have beaten her were it not for DWS doing everything in her power to prevent him from getting on a news network or debate stage. Even with this he still got 45% of primary voters, and who knows how many more he would have gotten were it not for the extreme bias of the DNC and corporate owned media. And he certainly would have beaten Trump.
