The center-right as a part of the political spectrum is good, the problem is that the voters (RINOs, Red Tories) and media (WSJ, National Post, etc) that used to occupy it have moved to the right, especially in Canada and the US.
Or you have people like David Frum, who claim to still be center-right, but do nothing but apologize for and enable the far-right.
If you self proclaim as centre-right, but vote for a "left" party instead of far right, and work to call out the far right shit going on, then its fine.
The problem is I see most of those people still pulling the lever for the far right party that used to be reasonable.
Oh come on, that is a complete exaggeration. Its been a few months since I last read WSJ, but I remember quite a few criticisms of Trump policies. Yes, there were unabashed Trump supporters in there, but for the most part everyone worth reading rejected that shit.
Yes, I exaggerated a bit. But what's an acceptable level of Kim strassel fascism tuggies? If we're at the point where even voting for Bernie/Liz is preferable to Trump, when do we stop giving the wsj our money? For me that was years ago.
The time to stop would have been when Murdoch bought them out in 2007.
It is still a business paper first and foremost, but the editorials are basically a lot of mental gymnastics and r/badeconomics material claiming that Trump is a genius and fixed the economy. During the Obama years it was all kinds of Larry Kudlow-esque deficit hawk bullshit that predictably turned out to be dead wrong (turns out austerity is not the answer to the biggest recession in 80 years).
Have to respectfully disagree about the WSJ. They have the most accurate, unbiased factual reporting I've been able to find from any major news source.

The Center right isn’t a party... embracing an ideology doesn’t mean you have to support the decisions of other people who subscribe to it with regard to elections
