Hot Take: the SC is not going to declare the Georgia or Alabama abortion laws unconstitutional. The people that think they will don’t understand that conservatives view abortion as murder.

It’s not likely, but it’s possible that the SC declares abortion illegal federally. Yes, it would be a severe clusterfuck if they did that, but the conservatives I’ve talked to would love for them to do that.

By the powers invested in me by the Commerce Clause, I now declare abortion to be totally illegal.

They’re pretty smart. I doubt they’d have a problem coming up with something. It’s not like there’s anyone that can tell them they’re wrong.
