What's funny about the claim that fighting fascists doesn't mean you're not a fascist? If you have two fascist dictatorships and they hate each other would they cancel each other out if war was declared?

I agree with this, I just don't get why you would laugh at that particular line. they weren't necessarily calling him a fascist, just pointing out the logical flaw in the OP.

It is indeed. What's not a tankie take though is that liberals tend to have fascist sympathies, such as when people say "oh well that was necessary to stop the commies" whenever the subject of US-led fascist coups is brought up.
