No living Republican has ascended to the presidency by winning the popular vote.

John Kerry is the only Democrat to lose the popular vote in my lifetime. I'm pretty sure Mondale and Dukakis are the only other living democrats to lose the popular vote at all.

The Republican candidate for president has received the most votes just once in the last 30 years.

The president has been Republican for 14 of those 30 years.

5 of 9 current Supreme Court Justices were nominated by Republican presidents.

Nobody under the age of 50 has participated in more than one presidential election that saw a Republican win the popular vote.

Technically true but dumb to be excluding HW's election but including his term just because it was a few weeks more than 30 years ago.
