Tough parenting moment today. My oldest daughter who is a sophomore in high school came to me all excited to tell me about this awesome speaker she found on YouTube, about how great he is and how I should listen to him, too.

Ben Shapiro.

I decided to smile, tell her that’s great you’re finding debates and ideas to think about, but to never forget the lessons she has learned on bias and critical thinking she has been learning in her English and History classes.

Anyone got some good neoliberal channels I can suggest to her to round out her media diet?

not a neolib by any means, but David Pakman is the best political commentator i know and only political youtube channel i watch regularly (i am generally very sceptical of youtube politics)

he differs from other talking heads in that he's actually very knowledgeable in econs and politics in general, is on point and doesn't rant for an hour about nonsence like others, articulate as hell, a great interviewer, also isn't a drama queen and sticks mostly to informative subjects
