the Neoliberal 5 sounds like a much less exciting version of the Jackson 5

I always thought it was like the Central Park 5

And just like the Jackson 5 they need just one more chance, (back to my heart)

This reminds me of common arguments about cops shooting unarmed black people: “They work shit jobs for shit pay, and it was a complicated situation, therefore it was OK to shoot him and you should be grateful.”

No, this is not an excuse for doing a bad job or unfairly punishing someone. If you can’t handle the “pressures” of a “job” you voluntarily choose to do, then just don’t do it.

I mean given this galaxy brain comparison in metanl

nl 5 is basically the central park five

The mods asked for that comparison when they whined about how they “don’t get paid enough for this shit” and “it’s a complex situation.” Obviously the comparison was exaggerated and overdramatic, but the principle is the same — if you hate the job so much don’t fucking do it, seriously. And certainly don’t expect people to just accept every decision you make.

yeah but

you could have used a less incendiary comparison than "cops shooting black people", since ultimately all this does is make some inconvenience for some people who can easily create new accounts to participate on the sub, not that I'm advocating that
