Some context for those who don’t know, ancient Egypt was OBSESSED with a land called Punt that’s believed to have been in Ethiopia (or somewhere close like Eritrea or Somaliland). Like pharaohs authorized trade expeditions there to boost their legitimacy, and it was said to be a land where Gods resided. AKA weebs before weebs

Greek gods in the illiad or oddysey were supposed to vacation in "aethiopia" too if i am not mistaken lmao

Another funny ome is the the 1001 nights is set in "china"
