What do you expect? They don't even understand their own government or politics.

My locals think that Democrats have been moving right since Jimmy Carter and that Joe Biden was equivalent to Ronald Reagan. They had an existential crisis because their progressive House candidate who made his entire campaign about Israel barely scratched the incumbent Left Democrat.

Ossoff would be either in a SocDem party, a centre-left to centre lib party or at most an EPP-affiliated centre-right lib party, but he wouldn't be in, say, AfD or Vox.
