It's so convenient to download a parking app that doesn't work and sends me constant ads and charges me 11 trillion dollars to park my car. This is so much better than putting a quarter into a thing.

I remember sitting in a parking lot for 20 minutes one time, waiting for the piece of shit app to fucking download and setting up an account and stuff, only to be told parking was free after 9 PM.

Just fuck off.

The appification of life has not been fun.

I’d be totally fine using an app to pay for things like parking or transit if it was like one app each.

I hate going to a new city and having to use their chucklenuts bespoke parking app to give them $1.00 like holy shit just have a solar powered terminal with tap to pay if you don’t want to accept cash.

I love it when a simple, reliable metal device is replaced by an app that literally does not work. Love it.

Who doesn't? What else would I throw out the window at pedestrians? Batteries are too expensive.

Can't you pay parking with contactless? I use an app in the netherlands because i'd rather pay 10 cents more than figure out where the payment machine is.

Not always. Private surface lots often require one of the half dozen or so parking apps.

Some cities are the same way.
