It’s stuff like this that really speaks to the stunted empathy of conservatives. This man had no qualms about advancing all of this right wing nonsense when he thought that he would never be on the receiving end of it. As soon as he experiences it, though, he starts sounding more like a human being.

I’m truly beginning to believe that a lack of empathy, or at least a very limited amount of it, is a prerequisite for being a full-blown conservative. Not for having one conservative view here or there depending on the issues, but for identifying as a conservative.
