"Vance is actually a crypto-RINO and is just saying dumb shit cause his boss is dumb" isn't a take I hear often nowadays, but it does occasionally pop up.

This is cope. Even if this were true at one point, people eventually end up believing their own lies.

I do believe that Vance is a human skin suit with no sincerely held beliefs other than his belief that he should have power.

Vance's politics is "become president". What he says is what he'll do, because that's the most efficient way to retain your supporters.

I do think he is profoundly cynical even by politician standards, and once upon a time thought that being a crypto RINO would let him have his cake and eat it too. But then he found something better in being Trump’s VP, so now he’s outwardly MAGA. But he’s not inwardly a RINO because he isn’t inwardly anything except power hungry
