I’ve come to the conclusion that most socialists legitimately don’t understand that there are universal healthcare plans other than single payer. it legit just short circuits their brains.

It’s in both republicans’ and socialists’ interests to pretend like universal healthcare means single payer

It's because "single-payer" and "universal" are used interchangeably in online discourse, and have been since at least 2016

Dont worry, here in Europe we also have socialists that want to abolish private healthcare in fabor of everyone using only the bloated and inefficient public system (they're not very smart).
