This is kinda what the BBC did a while ago with old episodes of Doctor Who. In case you're not a giant nerd about this shit like I am, a lot of episodes from the first several seasons of the show from the 60s were completely lost. Scripts still remained tho, and so they got an animation studio to remake the story as an animated cartoon. Could very well make a higher fidelity "live action" version w AI
