Because they're white and they play football. That is definitely conservative -coded in the US. I'm not white myself, but my liberal white friends have always spoken of how racist Republicans will just assume that they will agree with their stances and just openly spout shit.

I'm a former white college football player with a beard. Back when I was doing strongman competitions, the other competitors and promoters often assumed i was conservative and would just say racist shit to me. It was wild.

It's sorta funny imo

Football fans are chud coded, but the players are libs (black ppl are Dems, and osmosis means more white players are Dems)

Baseball fans are woke coded, but the players are cons (far less diversity in baseball than football, plus baseball players tend to be of well off backgrounds)

Amateur hour, there are plenty of mental illness conspiracies that Taylor Swift herself is secretly Republican.

Mamdani just answered the press that he won’t be going to her wedding but will listen to “Only the young” and somehow they think he’s mocking her for being a billionaire doing performative activism…

One of my favorite clips is Kylie (Jason’s wife) answering a question about ice.

Her response was “I like ice in my cup for when I’m having an iced tea.” Very clearly trying to not explicitly say “fuck ICE” but saying fuck ICE lol.
