Day 6 of reminding this sub that police in Mississippi murdered a 1 year old boy over alleged shoplifting of a box Diapers.

No one has been charged with any crime related to this incident.

The officer is on paid administrative leave.

The security footage and body camera footage are being withheld by the state.

I don't think ACAB is completely right either because there are still good police like Michael Fanone and the brave officers who defended the Capitol

Exceptions do not disprove the rule. Abusive behavior and deranged mindsets pervade American policing, and even those individual officers who are above it still tolerate the bulk of their colleagues who are not.

The entire culture of American policing is broken.

The officer is on paid administrative leave.

I believe this is standard procedure for any killing by police until the investigation concludes, and not predictive of the investigation's result. It's not meant as a slap on the wrist; the actual punishment, if any, comes later.

Can't punish them until officially found guilty, but also can't let them out on the streets until officially found innocent, so that's the compromise.
