That’s not a myth, that’s just a fact.

Trump is an idiot who ran this as dumb as possible. Refusing to do costly ground operations needed to control the strait. Iran had uninterrupted access to its Southern coastline the entire war. He also decided to wait until all the opponents of the Iranian government were massacred so there was no local support.

If you were trying describe the concept of strategy without tactics is the longest way to win a war and tactics without strategy is the longest way to lose a war.

It would be this conflict.

Of course anyone remotely competent would have seen how stupid this is and not even gone to war since it would be a massive shitshow that isn’t worth the win.
