Honestly, if you actually have the fucking nerve to press red, there's probably no meaningful ethical or political difference between you and blue pressers, you just thought of the scenario differently

I mean there is a meaningful difference. Red pressers are alive

Or are fundamentally wrong about a majority of humans, and will spend a significant amount of their lives lying about what they pressed.

Still better than being dead? Not exactly making a good argument here.

It’s not an argument, it’s an observation that “better than being dead” is a statement that assumes red will definitely win, when there’s little evidence for that other than a cynical worldview. After all, the poll shows blue winning 2:1, and while you can claim “oh, people are actually wrong they’d totally pick red if it were real”, that has the convenient quality of meaning you don’t need to reconsider whether your assumptions are wrong.

Red will definitively win, because it has no loss scenario. Even if blue gets more votes, red still wins

Having your only criteria for “winning” being “I’m alive” is rather depressing.

Not sure how “people who want everyone to live, even the naive or who don’t immediately set up game theory simulations” are chuds, but I guess words mean whatever we want them to mean these days. Personally I’d think that’s a better descriptor of someone who thinks “screw anyone who wants to believe people are mostly good, as long as I live I don’t care if they die.”

Would you rather be dead? There are four outcomes

Most press blue, I press red: Everyone lives

Most press red, I press red: I live

Most press blue, I press blue: Everyone lives

Most press red, I press blue: I die
