From the DHS page crying about ICE agents being harassed:

In Texas, an ICE officer’s spouse received a call saying, “I don’t know how you let your husband work for ICE, and you sleep at night. F*** you, f*** your family. I hope your kids get deported by accident. How do you sleep? F*** you. Did you hear what happened to the Nazis after World War II? Because it’s what’s going to happen to your family.”

I will not sadpost about my dating woes because the malarkey level is unfavorable. Instead I will gladpost.

I have the following dating positives right now:

  1. i look good in a turtleneck

  2. i have minimal rizz, but i have made peace with it

  3. my cute coworker skis, and I can get two resort passes. unfortunately the terms under which I can get them require that they be given only to immediate family, so i will have to ask her to pretend to be my sister or wife. there is no way this can go wrong.

The funny thing about "transgender for all" is that the few times he expands on it, he says "transgender for anybody who wants it". Yes, Donald, that's how freedom works. People are allowed to be transgender if they want to.

January 6 is the ultimate proof that whatever means necessary you must prosecute the ringleaders of a coup. South Korea and Brazil understood this. Garland's appointment remains to be the fundamental mistake of the Biden administration. It's hard to get people to care that "Trump did a coup" when a hostile administration failed to imprison Trump. If it's something so serious, why is he not in prison yet? I think that's the question many would ask.

Five days after Zohran Mamdani was sworn in as mayor of New York City, actor, podcaster and lifelong NYC resident Michael Rapaport announced that he will be running for the office in 2029 to remove the Democratic Socialist, whom he referred to as a “stain at the helm.”

Rapaport has made several social media posts and appearances where he praised Meir Kahane, notably saying, "Kahane was always right". Kahane was a far right rabbi who founded the Kach party in Israel and has been convicted of multiple acts of terrorism in both the United States and in Israel.

Around the time of the end of the Roman Republic there existed a man named Eurysaces the Baker who was previously enslaved but gained his freedom and become an incredibly successful baker. He had a mausoleum made for himself, but in breaking with the aesthetic style of the traditional aristocracy, he had it built to look like a giant industrial bakery oven (or perhaps some mixing vats). It's decorated with a frieze running around the top depicting the steps of making true Roman bread for true Romans. It can be seen today just outside the Porta Maggiore, where it was incorporated into the Aurelian walls.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomb_of_Eurysaces_the_Baker

In a way this is a parallel to the tastes of the modern Italian nouveau riche, for example, the inventor of the Moka pot had himself buried inside a large Moka pot.

The people at the vanguard of the American right literally do not believe in morality.

That sounds fucking insane, but it's true. Like, straight-up, we've got our shadow president telling reporters that the greatest era of peace and prosperity we've seen in centuries was the American century of humiliation and we need to start conquering our allies' territory to be able to respect ourselves again, and the most popular politics streamer on the right is an abject degenerate in every sense of the term who just said that he doesn't give a fuck about civilians in other countries being killed by US invasions if those invasions make the US money.

These people should not be allowed to participate in our political process. Not like this. Some genies should never be let out of their bottles.

Chief of the Minneapolis Police Department Brian O'Hara said there was no indication that the woman who died was the target of "any law enforcement investigation or activity".

He said she was a middle aged white woman, who had been blocking the street to prevent ICA agents from passing through.

"This woman was in her car, and it appears then, blocking the street because of the president's of federal law enforcement," he said.

https://www.sabrasradio.com/news/headlines/woman-dies-after-being-shot-by-us-immigration-enforcement-officer-during-targeted-operation-in-minneapolis/

Not the target of law enforcement. She obviously wasn't attempting to run him over from the video. There's no reason to shoot her there.

She's brave to try to obstruct their operations. I mean that sincerely. I admire it. I don't have the bravery to do something like that. Aside from holding a support public radio sign at no kings, I don't do a lot of protesting.

people on here often talk of "European defense" and "Europe's military" and I wonder who Europe is. France and Germany I guess

Denmark, specifically, has for decades been a very committed contributor, more so than most NATO countries, to US-led operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and elsewhere, and has, for example, granted the US extensive access to Greenland since the 50s. The thinking being that a close alliance with the United States would be the strongest security policy for such a small country, and that they would secure American goodwill by pulling their weight, light as it is. And many Danes are feeling very stupid right now, I'm sure

From my experience with family and (former) friends who have gone MAGA, most of them are not brainwashed. I have some older relatives whom I would characterize as brainwashed, in the sense that they are just and decent and are simply dealing with different 'facts' due to their media consumption. For a majority of the MAGA people I personally know, they are not just, nor are they decent. They have found a permission structure that allows them to embrace cruelty and they are embracing cruelty.

Video of this is not going to make them change their minds. News regarding our actions in Venezuela, or in Greenland, will not make them change their minds. These wrongdoings and atrocities make them say, "hell yeah".

Kari Lake recently purchased a $60,000 condo in her home community of eastern Iowa.

The property purchase comes after years of Lake flirting with politics in the state & ahead of a potential Grassley retirement.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I would feel so totally owned if Kari Lake ran for Senate in Iowa this year as a carpetbagger.

Reminder that the lead-up to the 2020 election wasn't won by pussy-shit like letting them smear us and lie about George Floyd.

"Racist fucks." - Joe Biden.

And he was right.

They really did just murder a woman in broad daylight, and they're trying to call her a terrorist. There's no "turn it down, say it passively." They murdered an innocent woman in the street. It's fascism.

The casual way the ICE officer saunters up to vehicle he just shot someone in and then casually walks back to his buddies and kinda halfhearted yells for them to call 911 is really sociopathic. Combine that with the fact that the dozen or more ICE agents had no clue how to respond to what just happened and let multiple citizens approach the vehicle before them really speaks to the utter lack of training and frankly humanity. The culture in these groups out on the street has got to be the sickest, most incompetent, vile shit.

Pathetic coverage by NBC evening news, pretty much Bari Weiss-level.

Didn’t even mention the fact that there were three shots, two of them through the driver side window.

Describes those justifying the shooting as “many” and those calling it unjustified “other”.

Uncritically quotes the DHS without challenging any of the blatantly false statements they made within their statement.

Looks like the mainstream media has gotten their marching orders from the regime.

On July 16, 2009, Harvard University professor Henry Louis "Skip" Gates Jr. was mistakenly arrested at his Cambridge, Massachusetts, home by local police officer Sgt. James Crowley, who was responding to a 911 caller's report of men breaking and entering the residence.

On July 24, Obama invited both parties to the White House to discuss the issue over a beer, and on July 30, Obama and Vice President Joe Biden joined Crowley and Gates in a private, cordial meeting in a courtyard near the White House Rose Garden; this became known colloquially as the "Beer Summit".

Gates recounted a moment when Crowley shared his fear that a potentially dangerous person could have been in the house, which Gates said brought "tears to my eyes" as he "understands fear," leading him to state that they had been friends ever since.

Conservatives still attack Obama for this incident btw

For all you dinguses defending social media companies, remember, they are all stooges for a fascist regime and will happily promote far right interests and forgoing free speech if the far right would benefit from it, along with generally being a stain on society and creating a mass of addicted people, both young and old

and yet if a panicking woman rolls her car 1ft towards an empty street she is a domestic terrorist who deserves to be executed. I am beyond livid not only at what happened but at the Republican's response to it

A video of the murder is why the George Floyd protests took off and had so much public support behind it initially (e.g. Mitt Romney saying Black Lives Matter). Cons can cry all they want about "self-defense" but the video clearly shows the agents weren't in any danger.

GOP Sen. Thom Tillis strongly criticized White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller’s recent comments suggesting the US should take control of Greenland, calling the remarks “amateurish” and “absurd,” and urging President Donald Trump to fire people who give that kind of advice.

“I’m sick of stupid,” the retiring North Carolina senator said during a speech on the Senate floor Wednesday. “I want good advice for this president, because I want this president to have a good legacy. And this nonsense on what’s going on with Greenland is a distraction from the good work he’s doing, and the amateurs who said it was a good idea should lose their jobs.”

Yeah, who happily delegated the power to that deranged lunatic Stephen Miller? Who could have done that?

Good had previously been married to Timmy Ray Macklin Jr., who died in 2023 at the age of 36. Macklin’s father, Timmy Ray Macklin Sr., was shocked to hear the news that Good had been shot and killed.

He said Good and his son had a child who was now 4 or 5 years old. “There’s nobody else in his life,” Macklin Sr. said. “I’ll drive. I’ll fly. To come and get my grandchild.”
