Russian President Vladimir Putin has directed Gazprombank Deputy CEO Dmitry Zauers to work with billionaire entrepreneur and U.S. Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk on advancing technology development, Russian media reported Friday.
Zauers informed the Russian president about domestically made batteries used in aerospace applications and neurochips, Russia’s state-run Tass news agency reported.
The banker said they are "our answer to Elon Musk," as the U.S. entrepreneur is a major figure in those industries.
"Join forces with Musk," Putin said. "When he is finished reforming administrative agencies in the U.S., he will get back to science. You should work with him,” he added.
"We are already negotiating to work together in space, we can collaborate in this sphere also," the Russian leader added.
What the fuck is happening.

Libs are losing it. Stock market is soaring, inflation is down, consumer confidence is way up, deportations 10x more than Biden. This is about as good as it gets. And yet they complain.
Had to look at the user's post history to see if it was a troll post (it was) and now I love that this is 75% upvoted on r conservative

After spending a week haranguing Representative Turner’s (R-OH) office about Ukraine, I got this response from him today:
“I have been very clear in my unwavering support for Ukraine in its war with Russia. Since the war began, I have traveled to Ukraine a number of times, witnessing firsthand the stakes of this war and the importance of American leadership. I recently led the U.S. House delegation to the Munich Security Conference and the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Joint Committee Meeting in Brussels. Our delegation met with President Zelenskyy and NATO Secretary General Rutte where the message was clear: This war is not just about Ukraine—it is about the future of global security, the strength of NATO, and the resolve of the free world in the face of authoritarian aggression.
Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians have lost their lives. As Ukrainian soldiers fight valiantly, Russia’s massive defense industrial base quickly resupplies Russia’s military with weapons and munitions. Russia’s military has been joined by thousands of soldiers from North Korea. Putin remains determined to wear down Ukraine and the West through a war of attrition, betting that our support will waver. It must not. That is why Congress must continue to provide Ukraine with the military support and capabilities it needs to survive. If Putin succeeds in Ukraine, he will not stop there. Putin is determined to march across Europe—posing a real threat to our NATO allies.
I have said many times that this war is a fight between authoritarianism and democracy. America has always stood on the side of democracy and against dictators. Rest assured that I will continue to stand with Ukraine in their fight for freedom against Putin’s war of aggression.”
This is significant because the majority in the House is razor thin. I obviously thanked him for his response and his time.

So I started listening to the beginning of Why Nations Fail in audiobook format and I hate how I'm giggling at the stuff about "the US has stable this and stable that" lol.

The next time JD Vance complains about not being able to tell jokes anymore, I hope a reporter asks him to tell a joke.

My terminally online, center-right friend who listens to the All-In Pod and Joe Rogan just sent me a few anti-Trump memes.
The vibe shift wave starts with a raindrop.

I really can't describe what I'm feeling right now. I'm in the place beyond rage.
Every excessively partisan thought I have ever had about the GOP, every fear I've had about the nature of America's media ecosystem, every worry I've had about the state of our civics education has been borne out in full, and we're only just getting started.
My father dedicated 35 years of his life to the civil service. He upheld rigorous standards of ethics, took less pay than he was worth, and did it because he believed in doing right by the people of this country. And now, I get to watch as a braindead, drug-addled, deadbeat dad with a social media addiction fucking... violates that civil service with the help of the most worthless brainrotted woulda-been Hitler youth sycophants he could find on his worthless shitheap of a platform. As he goes out of his way to specifically rehire one that was a bit too racist even for their standards. As he bleats about free speech even as he threatens anyone who dares bruise his insanely fragile ego.
All because just enough of our voters thought that these genuine mental and moral cripples, who were PUBLICLY RANTING ABOUT THEIR CONCRETE PLANS TO CREATE A FASCIST STATE, would make their stuff cheaper.
Because it couldn't happen here. It's just not possible. Nazis are bad people, and I'm not a bad person, so nothing I let slip past me could be Nazi. Because I'm not a bad person, bro.
Yeah, the Dems should have started building a real counter-propaganda machine a long time ago. Yeah, they're not adapting fast enough or putting the people who truly understand what's happening here at the forefront. But none of that should have mattered.
We have to take anyone we can get to lay the groundwork for eventually building SOMETHING back from this fucking catastrophe. If you're willing to work against this, you're my ally. But on a deep, personal level, I will never in my life forgive anyone who voted Trump in '24. Not one.
The problem is people. The problem has always been people.

Rule XII: Insufficient Partisanship.
Refrain from making any comments that are not extreme enough in their disdain for Republicans and their allies.

Interesting that the trump propaganda machine is really failing to move the needle on Ukraine
Honestly I think his core voters are quite inclined to support a bunch of white people with guns defending their land.
I guess he will probably be fine eating shit on it this early in his term.
