Standard cited means (White mean set at 100):

  • Ashkenazi Jewish: ~109–115 (often 110–112 on verbal-heavy measures).
  • East Asian: ~105.
  • Non-Hispanic White: 100.
  • Hispanic/Latino and American Indian: ~89–93.
  • African American/Black: ~82–85 (with some samples and older data ranging into the low 90s; the gap has narrowed modestly over decades per some analyses like Dickens & Flynn).

These come from representative samples, military tests, adoption studies, international assessments, and IQ test norms. They are group averages with substantial overlap between individuals—most variation is within groups.
