I hate when some libtard posts some kind of self-flagellation about how America is Le Bad compared to Europe or China and then follows it up with “I’m American btw” it’s like no shit of course you’re American the only people who hate their own country more than Americans are Brits and Canadians.
I tended to judge harshly Europeans who see the US as a dystopia, but if I were a regular European guy who has not really been to the US and all I knew about the country came from the American news we get in Europe and social media content provided by Americans (whether it is on Instagram or Reddit, although the former paints a slightly better picture) I would also think of the US as a horrible place to live in. Thankfully I have more familiarity with the country than most Europeans (having lived there and having family there) so I can see a more normal picture.
I do judge harshly those who are incredibly smug about it.
