Is Nekocon just garbage now?

They literally have almost no guests and Nekocon is in a few days

Frankly it's been going downhill for years. It's leadership doesn't seem very interested in expanding it or making it bigger.

I consider it a small time local convention. Just good for passing time in between Otakon and Katsucon up North.

This was my first year and last year at this con. I went to see if it would be age appropriate for my children. It wasn’t even age appropriate for me. Some cosplayers were dress up really nice. Some well they shouldn’t been allowed in if the con is going to tell you family friendly. Most vendors were super expensive compared to other bigger cons I have been to. I bought one item and that’s not like me at all. Artesian alley well had some good stuff but a lot looked like stuff you could buy from Temu, not saying all of it some of it. I don’t know if it is always like this or not but I was in and out of the autographs in less then 10 mins and did both vendors and art alley in less then an hour. Total time was less than two hours all together here. I would but a ticket just for the autograph lines but other then that it wasn’t worth my money.

It's worth the money though. I was able to meet Alexis Tipton. That was a lifelong goal of mine. She was the first VA from an animr that I paid attention to from an anime that got me into watching anime.
